Privacy Policy

Your account: name, email address, password (stored only as a hash), your class, and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile Google shares (name, email, picture).

Payments: which class you paid for, the amount, the provider, the mobile-account number you entered for JazzCash or Easypaisa, and a reference for bank transfers. We never see or store your JazzCash or Easypaisa PIN, and we never handle card numbers.

Your study: the questions you ask, the page they were asked on, the answers given, your bookmarks and your reading position, so they can follow you between devices.

Your device: a random device identifier, browser and platform names, and IP address, used for the one-device rule and for keeping the service safe.

Messages: anything you send through the feedback or contact forms, including a phone number if you choose to give one.

To run your account and your pass, to answer your questions from the right page of the right book, to keep your bookmarks and place in the book, to confirm payments, to answer your messages, to stop abuse and account sharing, and to improve the answers by looking at what was asked and what was reported as wrong.

AI providers. To answer a question, the text you selected, the text of the page and chapter around it, and sometimes an image of the selected region are sent to an AI model provider (currently OpenAI, Anthropic or Google). Your name and email are not sent. Their handling of that text is governed by their own terms.

Google. Sign in with Google and reCAPTCHA, which protects the sign-in, sign-up and contact forms, are Google services and receive the data those services need.

Analytics. The public website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and records your approximate location, device and the pages you open; it does not receive your name, email or anything you ask inside the app. You can block these cookies in your browser without losing any feature.

Payment providers. JazzCash and Easypaisa receive the details needed to charge your mobile account. Your bank sees a bank transfer.

We do not sell your data and we do not show advertising.

Data is stored on our servers and kept while your account exists. Usage logs are kept to improve answers and may be retained after an account is closed in a form that no longer identifies you. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires.

The app stores your sign-in tokens, your theme choice, a device identifier, and a local copy of your bookmarks, reading position and recent answers in your browser's storage so the app is fast. Signing out clears the tokens; clearing site data clears everything.

GenZ Books is made for school students. We collect only what is needed to run the service, and we ask that a parent or guardian agrees before a student under 18 pays for a pass. A parent can ask us about, or ask us to delete, a child's account.

You can see and change your name and password in Profile. You can ask us for a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and its data by contacting us; we will do so within 30 days unless a payment record must be kept.
